Round one over with three teams on top

Jun 7th, 2012 | By

0   TEAMS Kreludor, Mystery Island and Darigan Citadel placed first in their brackets in round one of the Altador Cup, earning themselves a shared first place position on the overall rankings. Each of the three teams dominated their respective brackets with none of the three teams losing a single match. Team Mystery Island faired the best of the three top teams, with an overall one full side-game loss and two side game draws, while Kreludor lost two side games and drew in another. Though Team Darigan Citadel won all of its matches, their scoreboard was littered with draws and one single side game loss against the Virtupets squad. Meridell, Lost Desert and Krawk Island became runners up in their respective brackets, with former champions Lost Desert out to prove it

Team rosters revealed

May 13th, 2012 | By

0   Five teams have announced changes to their rosters in the lead up to this years Altador Cup. Team Altador announced it traded off right defender Timu with Team Shenkuu’s right forward Foltaggio. “This has changed our team formation from 1+3 to 2+2,” Altador team captain “Trapper” Remis said, “we are hoping this will give us the extra firepower needed to get off the bottom of the ladder. “We cannot keep using the excuse that we are rusty after 1,000 years slumber in the seventh tourney. “Timu went to Shenkuu for a spiritual meditation journey and fell in love with the land. When she came back, she pleaded to our management to negotiate a trade. “Team Shenkuu seemed more than happy to accept Timu into their team. We wish Timu

Interview with Leera Heggle

Jan 30th, 2012 | By

0   SAKHMET – After a dismal Altador Cup season, I was granted an exclusive interview with Lost Desert team captain Leera Heggle, who took time out of his busy schedule to give us an insight to the inner workings and history of the Lost Desert team. First of all, thank you for your time today, Mr Heggle. I’m sure you must be very busy. Leera Heggle: That’s no problem, little lady; I always have time for a dedicated fan! NT: Aw shucks! So give us a bit of the history of the Lost Desert squad. LH: Of course! As is common knowledge, yooyuball has been around for thousands of years, and each land has its own league. Once Altador was re-discovered, and announced they were holding a major tournament in

It’s all over. The winner is announced.

Jul 11th, 2011 | By

0   It’s a true faerie tale story for Team Virtupets, and captain Keetra Deile. Coming from dead last in the second cup, Virtupets have climbed the ladder to take first place in the sixth annual Altador Cup, defeating runners up, Krawk Island. Virtupets fans are ecstatic for the long fought for, and well earned cup victory now under their belts, and look forward to a huge celebratory off-season. This is especially important for Keetra Deile herself too. She is the youngest, and first female captain to bring home the cup to their homeland. The battle for third was decided with orginal cup favourites, Kreludor taking home the bronze medal over another consistently strong team, Team Maraqua, who still fought valiantly, despite losing all finals matches. Though Maraquans are disappointed, this

Semi-final results, Grand final overview.

Jul 8th, 2011 | By

0   Results: So, Krawk Island stands to be the first repeat winners of the Altador Cup, after thrashing Kreludor in their play off. Both days ended with Krawk Island taking the ever important Yooyuball match, which means sidegames are practically useless. Meanwhile, contrariwise to the double round robin, Virtupets thrashed Maraqua with winning Yooyuball on both days. Both Kreludorks and Maraquans are disappointed, but will be fighting it out for the final trophy, a bronze trophy. Interstingly enough, the bronze trophy has only been awarded to Darigan Citadel, Lost Desert and Shenkuu, and not awarded in the first cup, not to mention the gratification and relief of third place is far more rewarding than getting second. Second tier’s results were closer. On the first day of finals, Terror Mountain and

Very brief overview of Day 33/34 results and Finals day 1+2

Jul 6th, 2011 | By

0   Day 33+34 results: Going through each of the unlocked teams at the time. We’ll start off with Krawk Island. Krawk Island defeated Lost Desert and Roo Island to secure their spot in the top 4. Lost Desert’s enemies remain classic as Shenkuu took a much desired spot in third tier, and Mystery Island put a halt to those third tier dreams. Shenkuu and Brightvale’s positions remained unchanged, their only competitors failed failingly to collect the needed points, despite Brightvale and Shenkuu being thoroughly beaten themselves. Maraqua pulled through their matches of Shenkuu and Roo Island with straight sweeps to secure their final spot in the top tier. Finals Round 1: Tier 1: Kreludor versus Krawk Island Virtupets versus Maraqua Tier 2: Meridell versus Terror Mountain Darigan Citadel versus Tyrannia

Jul 3rd, 2011 | By

0   Day 32 results: A hope in the Desert’s eyes With a win for their record flies With Terror Mountain out of the way The desert’s effort may just pay Krawk Island went down trying But Meridell kept on flying The sidegames gave a Meridell win So this really pleased the king. Faerieland beat their long time rival But Altador kept their slushie survival. While Brightvale beat the team of Kikos The Kiko’s future is looking “bleako” Virtupets beat the team of Darigan Some Draconians called Shenanigans But Virtupets won fair and square Though XL-Striker messed Shaye’s hair Kreludor defeated the Isle of Roo And victory went to Shenkuu And Maraqua beat the Haunted Woods And Tyrannia got full points under their hoods.
